The “Leadership 21 - Advanced” Program is presented in 5 key theme areas.

1. Look In To Lead Out

The first key area of the KESA Leadership 21 development program revolves around crafting a leader’s mindset. By instilling and empowering yourself with the right views, your positive reach is amplified. In addition to the strategic execution of specific tools and techniques, this theme focuses on something deeper and more innate – trust, integrity, and knowing oneself.

Triage Leadership®, KESA’s signature leadership program, teaches how to analyze and adapt one’s own leadership style to the needs of groups and individuals.

Leaders are taught to take personal responsibility for their choices and build accountability with others by following through. This directly leads into the importance of building and demonstrating trust in relationships.

Before you can master effective team-building, you must know your own strengths, priorities, and tools. In the modern workplace, complex problems and unreasonable workloads are the norm, so a leader must have the right mindset. Managing priorities, building effective teams, and delegating work is only possible with a clear view of oneself.

2. Driven With Purpose

The Driven with Purpose portion of the KESA leadership training development program focuses on instilling ownership thinking at all levels in an organization. Purpose-driven leadership centers on strategic execution for the sake, security, and service of customers. Leaders find success by rooting foundational understanding and taking ownership of their skills.

Effective team-building requires leaders to understand the big picture and delegate work with a comprehensive understanding of the whole organization. Through trend tracking, leaders create strategies that teams lock onto and support with confidence.

Making big moves requires creating high-value propositions and fostering innovation!
The tools to make smart choices and meaningful decisions are found in many places and it is essential for leaders to branch out. Leaders will learn the importance of using and analyzing the organization’s key performance indicators and the value of understanding a business plan, among other diversified skills.

Key topics include:
3. Performance-Driven Culture

Create a positive, performance-driven culture with a team-building focus that brings out the best in your team. Leadership 21 is all about reflecting successful skills onto employees and raising the bar for those around you. The leadership training development program uses modern theories of motivation and performance feedback to power your 21st century organization.

This learning theme covers the strategic execution of attraction, recruitment, and retention for high-performers. How do you define the cultural norms and specific job accountabilities? Descriptive interviewing and comparative evaluations are the keys to hiring top-performers.

Meaningful engagement and positive recognition encourage positive growth and allow high-performers to shine in their roles. With a deep understanding of your organization’s reward program, both informal and formal, you can reinforce desired behaviors, maintain expectations, and foster ongoing development. As a leader, you hold significant influence over employee pride and emotional attachment – learn how to use it!

Key topics include:
4. Anticipate and Adapt to Constant Change

The 21st-century workforce and work norms look very different than they did 20 years ago, and we are in a period of constant change. The fourth leadership training development theme covers the strategic execution and mastery of change management. As a confident leader, you can plan, communicate, and facilitate change through each transition.

At the heart of this theme is the belief that change is an opportunity for positive growth. By instilling this concept into your mindset, you can support other individuals through change and model desired behaviors more effectively. Empathy, foresight, and flexibility are essential emotional traits that are honed during this training.

Maintain team-building successes through periods of change with effective, confident communication. By choosing the right channel, time, and place, you can help employees feel engaged and respected, even throughout difficult or sensitive transitions.

5. Putting Learning into Action

Put newly acquired leadership training development skills into action! The Leadership 21 Advanced program finishes with a capstone activity that not only summarizes everything that was learned into a meaningful finish, but it also makes things personal. The capstone takes team-building concepts and puts them into practice with real-world case study analysis.

70% of learning occurs through an on-the-job application, so Leadership 21 sets students up for success. After analyzing a specific case study, leaders are prompted to think critically about their own approach to leadership and develop a personal philosophy that they can take with them in the future. Together, we make a personal commitment to follow our action plans and test out the strategic execution strategies that were learned.

The session finishes with collaborative planning where the participant will lay out the next steps with a plan that is rooted in foundational skills. In the future, these insights translate into real gains in your effectiveness and productivity as a leader.
